Chancel choir
The Chancel choir welcomes adults (from high school on) to participate in the 10 am Sunday service, singing every Sunday during the school year singing a variety of music, from the classics to contemporary.
We invite all to participate, regardless of talent. Rest assured, every voice is appreciated and welcomed.
Rehearsals are from 7 pm to 8:30 pm Wednesdays, beginning the last Wednesday in August and running through May. Directed by Dr. Gerald Kreitzer.
Handbell Choir
Our handbell choir, under the direction of Cathy Bixby, rehearses on during the school year on Wednesdays at 6pm and participates in the worship service approximately once per month.
Youth Choir
The Youth Choir, under the direction of Cathy Bixby, rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:45pm and participates in worship approximately once per month. Please contact Cathy at cathy@firstchurchcr.org for more information.
INstrumentalists
The church has other opportunities for instrumentalists to provide music during the year for special presentations, or for solo opportunities. Contact Dr. Gerald Kreitzer, choir director, or Doris Gitzy, organist, if you wish to volunteer your musical gifts in this way.
summer special music
During the summer months when the choir is on hiatus, vocal and instrumental soloists or small groups are encouraged to provide special music for the worship service. Contact Dr. Gerald Kreitzer if you are interested in sharing your talent on a Sunday in the summer.
