Middle School (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade)

A confirmation class is offered every other year to all middle school students, as well as high school students who have not participated in the past.  The Senior Pastor leads this nine-month class. Confirmation meets during the Sunday School hour. During this time of study, students become friends with others in the class, learn about the rich meaning and wisdom of Bible stories, explore faith-walks different than our church’s own, and use a variety of events and media to help discover their rightful inheritance as a beloved child of God. At the end of this period of study, the Confirmands decide if they desire to affirm their baptism and become a member of First Congregational UCC.  Then in late spring, a Sunday worship service led by the Confirmands welcomes them as full members of the church.

High School students also meet for Sunday School and explore a variety of topics and service opportunities as they learn to live out their faith at home, in the community, and in the world.

During the years when there is not a confirmation class, middle school and high school students meet together for Sunday School.

On Wednesday evenings, the Youth Outreach and Mission Group meets at 5:15 pm, and occasional other Sundays and evenings for fun learning and quality time.
